Spoiler-free synopsis
Satyam, a reform-minded village leader, opposes landlord Rudrayya and falls in love with Rudrayya's daughter Savitri. A plot against Satyam sends him into a comic journey through heaven and hell, where he challenges the rules of the afterlife. He eventually returns to Earth and uses disguises, tricks and supernatural complications to confront Rudrayya and protect his future with Savitri.
