Spoiler-free synopsis
Set in the 1980s, the film follows Kathir, a boastful film fan whose grandfather's sudden death brings an eccentric extended family together at their ancestral home. While supernatural visitors hover around the last rites and diamond thieves pursue a concealed prize, Kathir accepts his sister's challenge to win the affection of their cousin Devi before the funeral ends. The house of mourning consequently becomes the setting for romantic schemes, disguises, misunderstandings, family quarrels and broad comic scuffles.
